Yin Yoga is essentially a slower-paced style of yoga based on our meridians and traditional Chinese medicine with postures that are held for longer periods of time.
Within this practice we welcome moments of stillness to help you feel the physicality of the poses, landing into the connective tissues, the bones, the nervous system, and the organs to help dissolve tension, evolve our patience, and hydrate the fascia — eventually releasing the pose with grace. Doing so over time helps to stabilize and soften stiff bodies and stressed souls while enriching the circulation of oxygen and blood.
No prior asana experience is needed to join this class. All are welcome.
